Our Story
Chef María Iglesias, originally from Puebla, Mexico, has dedicated nearly 30 years to preserving and sharing the authentic culinary traditions of her homeland. Since arriving in New York in 1985, she has built a career rooted in passion, perseverance, and a deep love for food, founding landmark establishments such as La Hacienda, Adelita de Woodside, and Corazón de México.
Today, through Adelita de Woodside and her catering service María Bonita, Chef María continues to offer the community authentic and memorable culinary experiences, using family recipes, natural ingredients, and an unwavering commitment to her roots.
